Day 2: I miss us.
Sometimes, well, all of the time, I wish no one in this world knew how to contact me but you. Every time my phone rings or my BlackBerry Messenger goes off I pray it’s you. I rush to my phone, only to be disappointed. — Wow, our timing has been really on point for the past few days. You just called me as I typed that. Can’t you see we’re connected? I pray that this will be enough for you.
I miss just being. Remember this song? Miguel was one of the first artists that we had in common. It was so refreshing because people really didn’t know about him, and still don’t. We would talk about this song for what seemed to be hours. Knowing us, we’d have to make a joke of it some how. Thank’s Ne-Yo. Everyone knows Miguel’s version is fifteen times better even though Ne-Yo wrote the song.
If I could spend an eternity with you wrapped in my arms, I would. I’ve fallen so deep into this that the people that used to matter don’t anymore. The phone calls that used to validate me and predetermine how I would spend my nights aren’t even picked up. I don’t respond to many texts. The only person I want is you. Of course, I still have friends, but they’re just fillers until we can spend time. I’m not asking you to make the same decision as me at all. I just want you to know that every time my phone alerts me of some sort of communication, I hope it’s you.
